York Brain Tumour Support Group

Yorkshire's Brain Tumour Charity provide a monthly York Support Group which is open to anyone affected by a brain tumour – patients, family members, caregivers, or those who have been bereaved. It offers a safe and welcoming space to share experiences, gain emotional support, and connect with others who truly understand.

Facilitated by Fiona, the group meets at 10.30am at the Planet Food Café (YO23 1NX) on the 1st Thursday of each month.

Attendees say the groups help them feel less isolated, more connected, and better supported. Many also gain valuable practical tips and coping strategies to help manage the challenges that come with a brain tumour diagnosis.

Recent feedback shows the positive impact of these groups:

2. 100% reported feeling less isolated and more connected
3. 94% said they had gained practical tips to help manage the diagnosis
